Letter 87 France
October
20, 1918
Dear Love,
Sunday
once more and just a few things I forgot to tell you last night. I still feel
the same. I have had a misfortune, the few pictures I had of you, they have
disappeared, or I burned them along with some of my other letters, so I’m
without any now. If you have another just send it to me dear, so I can have
something to remind me of you.
You
ask me if I liked the few pictures you had taken; I should say I did, anything
I will accept even to a kiss. It is raining again, some more mud. You asked if
your letters were too long and if I had to pay extra. Do not worry about that
for they are neither censored nor have they asked for more money. Just keep
sending them as you have. The more, the happier.
With
love and God’s blessings,
Private
