Letter 58

Letter #58
                                                                                                                         July 16, 1918   11:10 P.M.

                                                                                                                          Woods Cross, Utah
Dearest Henry,
I’m back from Lagoon and none too spry, either as every pleasure has its weariness.  Met Viola and Jay as they came on the same train as Mary walked around with them, went to the band concert, and then I took them to supper.  I did not dance but once, and that was with a Mr. Olsen while I was waiting for Viola and Jay. I was with them all the time.  They were surely sweet to me.  The concert was very, very fine.  I saw Ethel and Luella Haddock.  Both asked about you.  I took your picture to Mary, said I had you with me.
Hilda took me over to the station today you had gone to Iowa.  I didn’t know anything about it, but she said your mother had heard.  I’m very tired, sweetheart, so we’ll say goodnight.  Mabel and Ward were up.
Will write more tomorrow night,

 Violet.
